Teach for Nepal is a movement of outstanding university graduates and young professionals who are committed to end education inequity in Nepal starting with two years of fellowship teaching in public schools.
Teach For Nepal fellowship is a two year long, full-time paid employment opportunity. During the two years, Fellows teach in public schools and bring about academic achievement and transformative impact in their students. At the same time, they harness their leadership skills through the teaching experience and intensive development training and support.


Job Decription :
Teach For Nepal Fellowship is a 2-year long leadership development program which is a full-time paid opportunity. After going through a rigorous selection process, only 5-7% of the applicants are selected as Fellows. They receive 42 days of residential leadership development training before moving into rural communities where they teach in a public school to bring about the academic achievement and transformative impact in students. They continue receiving similar 8 training modules within 2 years, each of 4-5 days in length. The cost of the training will be covered by Teach For Nepal.

Teach for Nepal fellows come from diverse academic backgrounds at TFN like engineering, medicine, management, social science, and arts. We have had Fellows from B.Tech, MBBS, BSc Nursing, BBA, BCA, BA from countries like India, the USA, the UK, Srilanka, Germany, Bangladesh and many more. The minimum eligibility criteria is that one should be a Nepalese citizen and must hold a Bachelors degree minimum(by December 2019). However, we do place a high value on demonstrated leadership potential, interest in social change and a growth mindset.

They  work in 7 districts of Nepal- Lalitpur, Sindhupalchok, Dhanusha, Dang, Tanahu, Lamjung, and Parsa.

CTC : Selected candidates will be offered a basic annual package of NRS 4.66 lakh excluding 12 lakh of training programs, 6.5 lakhs of insurance benefits, travel allowances, and communication allowances. Since it is a leadership development program, heavy investments are made on the personal and professional development of the Fellows.
